the lid

The lid is held by three bolts and watched by a pin stack. This page shows each of them as the program sees them, once a second.

The high the drawdown bolt measures from is the program's own recorded high, written on chain the first time a turn saw that price, not the high since you opened this page. The two can differ. The site's high since load appears on the home page; the program's recorded high appears here.

pin stack

Each sell the program counts lifts one pin. Any buy drops every pin at once. When all eight are lifted the lock shears and the lid opens whether or not the bolts have retracted. The stack makes a run of sells the thing that triggers the buy, so the harder the coin is sold the sooner the door opens against it.

The program can only move forward through these four states and back to sealed. There is no state in which SOL leaves to a wallet, and there is no state that an operator can force, because there is no operator.

turning the lock

Anyone can call the turn instruction. It costs the caller the Solana network fee and nothing else. The instruction reads the pool, reads the trade window, compares them to the thresholds in the door account, and writes the new bolt and pin state. If the conditions for opening hold it opens the door in the same transaction.

There is no reward for calling turn. The program does not tip the caller, because tipping would be an instruction that moves SOL to a wallet, and the program has none. People call it because they hold the coin and want the door to open, or because they want to see what happens.

If nobody calls turn, nothing happens. The slot still fills, because insertions are their own instruction, and the chambers still grow. The door simply waits for someone to try the handle.
